Why is it important to use grammar correctly?
Standard English has become the language of business in many parts of the world. Although using good grammar cannot guarantee your professional success, poor grammar can prevent your career from taking off.
Using grammar correctly projects a professional image for you – it shows that you care enough about your work to write grammatically correct messages. Poor grammar, on the other hand, may project a sloppy, ignorant or indifferent image.
Although some grammatical mistakes are minor and can be overlooked, others could be serious enough to distort your message, and you need to know how to avoid them.
What do you gain from this two-day workshop?
This workshop builds upon the foundations of grammar - the parts of speech. You will learn how each part of speech should be used correctly, and how people usually make mistakes with these parts of speech. More importantly, you will learn how to avoid these common errors.
This workshop also discusses grammar technicalities like the use of punctuation and sentence constructions. You will test your own understanding of the learning points through exercises, peer-teaching activities and grammar games.
